Miss Val Verde
And the New Miss Val Verde 2007 Is......
Rosanna Ramon, she is the 17
yr old daughter of Gerardo and Cecila Ramon. She was once of 9 girls vying for the title. Maria Davila 12 yr
old daughter of Tania Davila was crowned Miss Val Verde Pre Teen and this years mascot is Cynthia Puente, daughter of Jo Anne
Puente. This year the Innermind Connection held prelims earlier in the month and decided to go with a
Coronation dinner hosted by the Whitehead Museum. After 10 years
of pageantry, we feel it is time to re-invent ourselves and we selected a Cowgirl Round Up Denim and Diamond theme. says Lopez.
Our Guest speakers were great to the girls, Interim City Manager - Frances Rodriguez and City Council Woman - Tina Martinez
also helped crown the new queens.
During the event we also had the Queens for a Cause Awards Ceremony and all new queens
were sworn in by 13 time pageant title holder - Stephany Cavazos. The girls do so much during the year
and we wanted to do something special for them. We would also like to thank Miss Texas - Shilah Phillips
and Aaron Rodriguez Justice of the Peace Precinct 4 for their wonderful encouraging
words. Visiting Queens included: Nikki Arizpe Reina del Club De Leones and Hope Bynum - Miss Rodeo - Rotary Queen
